super bowl

yes, tonight is the super bowl.  the super bowl of boxing

manny pacquiao vs. oscar de la hoya

there is so much talk and hype about this fight that started off as a rumor last year.  i mean we were trying to go to vegas for this fight and the cheapest tickets at the time were like 5 bills - 'nosebleed'!

there is alot of hype surround this fight.  one of them is that both are coming from different weight classes so many are calling it a mismatch in de la hoyas favor.  the other one is the drama.  he said this, he said that.  freddie roach, pacquiaos trainer now was de la hoyas former trainer.  de la hoya talking about filipinos blah blah blah.

anyways, should be good.  if i could tell manny anything right now, id tell him "DEFENSE!"

ecomonic downfall

i know i havent really "xanga'd" in awhile but today i feel as if i need to make a mark here to mention how our economy is screwed.

first it was fannie and freddie.  then it was lehman brothers.  myrill lynch had to be acquired by bank of america.  washington mutual failed not too long ago (now jp morgan chase).  now its wachovia who did not technically "fail" but is having to be saved by citigroup.

stocks are plumeting...

its so chaotic my ticker is going insane!

"The House of Representatives today rejected a $700 billion plan to bail out the U.S. financial system, putting a roadblock in front of the largest government intervention in the markets since the Great Depression." - CNN

ps. if you dont know what this means or dont have a clue of what i am talking about, then you are screwed X 100

veal chop

i went to las vegas this past weekend.  you want to know what mattered the most to me on this trip?

no it wasnt the gambling, no it wasnt the endless venues we visited and no it wasnt that the 2008 miss vietnamese paegent was being held in out hotel.

it wasnt even the comped bottles.

it was all about the

twitter pics

many people i know have been using twitter to keep up-to-date with friends.  basically you enter your status online or through text using twitter and it updates everyone who subscribed to you.  the only problem you may come across is if you are set up to have the updates sent to  you via text and the people you have subscribed to tend to update every minute and you dont have unlimited text.

ultimately i think its pretty cool, just make sure you are subscribed to who you really want to hear from or youll be hearing about how someone is grinding coffee at midnight.  of course there is a setting to 'turn-off' your alerts between certain times if you want.

its really easier than it sounds.

then came twitterpic.  same concept but with pics.  with this app you can send a pic of something from your phone and send it as an update to your subscribers.  you also have the option of uploading from your computer.

i thought id share some of the twitterpics ive taken so far.  this is in a span of about a month and a half.  i dont do this daily.

secret steak - se7en spices

this past weekend we celebrated our 4th of july early.  i always picture grilling when i think of americas birthday.  here we have my secret steak.  on hand we also had the mandatory filipino style bbq chicken.

viva!

yes.  i am going to las vegas.  AGAIN.

new haircut!

michelle got a new haircut and it turned out really good!  say thanks TnG.

consulting is fun and easy

one of our clients old server crashed (dell poweredge 950) on RAID 1.  basically we told them they needed to upgrade the drive, and the OS.  they were using this as their terminal server.

lost duck

i was at altex (a computer supply store) picking up some supplies and this 'lost duck' walked up to the car.  altex is no where near any natural habitats.  hmmmm....

dyson hand dryer

north star is trying to step up and be upscale.  part of the renovation includes these cool dyson airblade hand dryers.  youve heard of the dyson vacuum right?  a popular question was: "does it suck or blow?"

korean kareoke!

ok we had a random night where we went to a chill bar called red eye and then decided to go kareoke at this koream owned kareoke bar.  it was really fun.  noodles, soju, good company and songs from artists such as backstreet boys, nsync, new kids on the block, guns n roses, boyz II men....you get the picture.

gas is ass

this 22.1 is actually pretty good for city driving in my car.  as you can see i have 11 miles until im empty.  trying to stretch gas these days is crazy!

darth vader glass!

flying saucer had these limited pint glasses for fathers day.  i love star wars!
"luke...i am your father"

nilaga for that ass!

ive been cooking alot lately.  i thank the food channel for inspiring me.

late night sushi

you can never get tired of sushi.  except maybe if you work at a sushi restaurant.  which reminds me of a story of a friend i have that worked at a sushi place i will not name.  he came home one night with all this sushi, and it went a little something like this:

friend: "are you hungry?"

me:"hell yea!"

friend:"man i have a bunch of sushi from work, lets eat!"

so we are eating and it is quiet for a few minutes

me:"how did you get all of this?"

friend:*laughs* "well dont get grossed out, but these are like leftovers but i swear they werent touched"

me:"what the?!"

friend:"its good isnt it?"

dope producing

"youve been doing all this dope producing...."

ryan leslie making 'gibberish'.  ryan leslie is definitely one of my favorite producers.  he goes under the radar alot of times but that just means hes true to what he does.

you dont have to need anyone but yourself to Initiate

you dont have to be in the spotlight to be Innovative

you dont have to be all 'hollywood' to Inspire

you dont have to follow anyone just Improvise

....as you can see, its all about I
